Lacàph exists to share Vietnamese coffee and culture with curious people everywhere — and this little upstairs bar at 151 Đồng Khởi is where the story is poured, one cup at a time.

Chapter One

The Bar

Upstairs at 151 Đồng Khởi — tucked away like a hidden gem.

You enter through glass double doors beneath a vertical wooden LACÀPH sign, climb one flight, and the city falls quiet. The Coffee Bar lives on the first floor of a plum-marbled building it shares with Koheis Bar and Brothers Men's Salon — a small espresso bar that guests call stunning, very aesthetic, down to its beautiful restroom.

The room, in detail

  • A long dark-wood bar, the room's spine
  • Blue ceramic pitcher of dried foliage
  • Hand-written menu on textured beige plaster
  • A large dark-metal LACÀPH sign
  • Vintage sconces & glowing Edison bulbs
  • Patterned tile floor underfoot
  • Star wire sculpture on the wall
  • Five framed vintage botanical & bird prints
  • Chrome espresso machine, gleaming
  • Chesterfield-style sofas for lingering
  • Dark teal ceiling with exposed bamboo
  • Plum facade with a gold BROTHERS sign

✦ ✦ A curious footnoteFriendly English-speaking baristas pour every table — and water arrives with your drink, unasked. The kind of small ceremony this book approves of.

Chapter Three

The Farm

Every cup begins in the Vietnamese highlands — single-origin, direct-trade, never any artificial flavours.

The Vietnamese highlands, where Lacàph's lots are grown — Arabica Catimor and Robusta Sẻ, bought direct from the farm gate.

Cup to Farm

Lacàph's model is written plainly on the bag: Cup to Farm. Coffee bought single-origin and direct-trade from highland growers — Sơn La's Ara-Tay, Gia Lai's Mori, Lâm Đồng's Zanya — so more of every cup travels back up the mountain. No artificial flavours, ever; the character in the cup is the character of the land.

✦ A curious footnoteThe dark roast “Lũy” in your cup is the same roast that took a star at the Great Taste Awards 2025.
