Shibui Concept

A quiet floor,
above the noisy city.

Shibui Concept — a matcha, coffee and vinyl bar on the 3rd floor at 176 Le Lai, overlooking the greenery of 23/9 Park.

Shibui Concept's main room — wooden tables, grey-blue upholstered chairs, backlit ceramic shelving
The main room through the white arch — wooden tables, grey-blue upholstered chairs, backlit ceramic shelving, sunlight slanting through bamboo blinds.

Shibui sits on the third floor of an old apartment block at 176 Le Lai, right at the edge of 23/9 Park — the kind of address Saigonese only find by turning down exactly the right alley. Past the white arch doorway, everything here runs one notch slower: light-wood tables, grey-blue upholstered chairs, backlit ceramic shelving, and woven rattan pendants hanging like gathered sunlight.

The name comes from wabi-sabi — "shibui" is beauty that is simple and understated. The space lives up to it: not one detail too many. The one deliberate showpiece is the vinyl corner — wooden speakers, a turntable and an amplifier tucked into one corner of the room — plus the big mirror with "Shibui Concept" handwritten in pink, where everyone stops for a photo.

In the evening here, the rattan lamps are the only sun you need.
