Hong Phat has served from 389 Vo Van Tan, District 3, since 1975 — among the oldest Nam Vang noodle shops still running in Saigon today.
A black-and-white photo from the early years shows the old shopfront: the HỒNG PHÁT — HỦ TIẾU NAM VANG sign, plastic tables spilling onto the sidewalk, diners shoulder to shoulder — a scene the shop keeps to this day.
The shop's own photo set even includes the 2024 Michelin Guide edition for Hanoi · Ho Chi Minh City · Da Nang — a milestone for a half-century-old eatery.
