The Doran Doran story — the round grill at the table's center, 126 Co Bac
A round grill built into the center of the table — the whole meal turns around the fire, the Korean way.
The grill is Doran Doran's heart: a circle set into the middle of the table, a steel ring with vent slots, a silver exhaust hood hanging over every table. Meat hits the plate and sizzles, banchan and meat trays ringed around it — the whole table grills and wraps together. The grill room warms up from 6:30 PM, when friends and families gather around the fire.
A warm, family-style Korean room: long wooden tables, wooden table dividers, an ink-mountain mural wall, a dark ceiling hung with silver exhaust hoods. The white sign with the dolsot stone-pot logo and 도란 도란 한식당 is recognizable from the door — one single address at 126 Co Bac, no branches.
Banchan arrives in six square grey bowls around the grill — kimchi, bean sprouts, seasoned greens, braised quail eggs, pickled radish, braised potatoes — refilled when empty. At lunch, wooden-tray sets bring white rice, a main, soup and banchan (the venue's menu photos, Jan 2025). Dishes like galbi, naengmyeon, bulgogi and the seafood spread appear in the venue's photos but carry no listed prices.
