Things Café — a quiet workroom in the 14 Ton That Dam apartment building, District 1
A place to sit downand forget the time.
“A quiet, comfortable space — perfect for reading, working, creating and refreshing the soul.” Every seat has its own pool of lamplight, every part of the day its own rhythm. This is a day's journal at Things.

01 / Three shifts in a day
The shop opens 08:30–22:00 (per IG place data; dicaphekhong says 08:00 — unverified). Each shift has its own way of sitting.
The work shift
Reviewers recommend mornings for laptop work: sunlight through the yellow window frames, outlets at the seats, and the shop still quiet. The shift of freelancers and students on deadline.
The reading shift
Bean bags, floor cushions, little books — “you just want to lie down and sleep off the world.” No air-conditioning, only fans; bring patience on summer afternoons.
The retreating shift
The shop goes dim at dusk — shade lamps, paper lamps, desk lamps come on, each corner its own pool of amber light. The shift of small, quiet confessions.
02 / The long-sitter's toolkit
Not the menu — this is what long-working guests really need.

The tree room
Work desks under the hand-painted tree mural, sunlight through the yellow window frames. The most photographed corner — arrive early to get it.

The bookshelf
Sit by the bookshelf and the shade lamp — something to hold, something to look at whenever your eyes tire. Easier to forget your phone here than at home.
