our story
The Sori Cafe & More story — a French villa and its pool at 20 Tu Xuong
An old French villa in the middle of District 3 — and a green sheet of water in the backyard.
A white garden wall with a hand-lettered Sori sign opens onto a gravel forecourt, hydrangea planters lining the path. The 2-storey villa appears: white plaster walls, black shutters, red tile roof — the old colonial windows opened into full glass walls in black steel frames, flooding the morning with light. Inside are two moods: rustic with plain wooden tables, and noble with deep sofas under warm chandeliers.
Through the house to the backyard, the green pool appears — jade-green tiles, water flat as glass, wooden tables set at the water's edge, banana plants and planters around it, open sky above. The pool is not for swimming: it is the cafe's mirror, where the villa sees its own reflection. Sit here with a Pink Lady tea and see the whole villa upside down at your feet — a private sheet of water in the middle of District 3, that's why people come back.
A 28-drink menu with clearly listed prices from 55k — coffee, lattes, fruit teas, mojitos and fresh juices. Prices from photos of the official menu at the cafe (8/2022) may have drifted over time; two newer signatures — the 79k Strawberry Matcha Dalgona and the 105k Tropical Delight tea — come from recent reviews. After dark, Sori Eatery serves European dishes by the pool: one address, two moods.
