Joy Garden Coffee — the garden in the Hai Ba Trung alley, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City
A garden in the alley, amber lamps in the cave.
An L-shaped gravel garden, lampshades wrapped in dry tree roots, a glass rain roof — then inside, a dim “cave” lit only by hanging amber lamps. A café on one side, a plant shop on the other.
The L-garden, gravel paths
Past the bamboo grove at the alley’s mouth sits a small garden: classic gravel paths, a wall of dry branches screening the fence, monstera and beds of red anthurium. A glass roof overhead, so rain never sends you running.

Inside: dark, dim, amber light
The opposite of the bright garden — the interior is dark and dim, lit only by hanging amber lamps: woven rattan shades, wire-frame block lamps, a monstera-mural wall, rattan chairs and vintage sofas.

Drinks in the cave
A short menu — but every price below comes from real guest reviews and photos.
Shoot first, take it home
Shelves of hand-painted chibi mini pots — guests call them “lovely, perfect as gifts”. A “BUY 1 GET 1 plant pot” board hangs in the café.

Note: some reviews criticize the shop’s plant quality and service — ask about care before buying.
