Story

The house at the end of the alley

Tan Dinh keeps many old French houses behind its small alleys, and Celestia is one of them: walk to the end of alley 9 Ly Van Phuc, and the door opens onto a quiet wine room, draped and candlelit — a world from the main road a few dozen metres away.

Chapter 01

The house at the end of alley 9

Celestia sits in an old French house at 9/6 Ly Van Phuc — the slashed address of a home inside a Tan Dinh alley. The colonial architecture is the bar's foundation: high ceilings, tall windows and a courtyard.

Chapter 02

Back from Europe

Celestia's founder spent years in Europe's food-and-drink industry before opening this Tan Dinh wine bar, bringing a young sommelier team and exclusive Australian labels poured only in-house.

Chapter 03

The seat by the window

The seat called the best in the house is the counter by the window over the courtyard — where an evening at Celestia slows down: a glass of wine, the French-Vietnamese kitchen's mushroom pasta, and candlelight instead of the street lamps outside the alley.
