Since 2016, one belief has run the roastery: Vietnamese coffee deserves the world's stage.
Bosgaurus Coffee Roasters was founded in 2016 by owner and head roaster Nguyen Canh Hung with a simple mission — farm-to-cup specialty coffee that elevates Vietnamese coffee craftsmanship to the world. Transparent sourcing, transparent roasting, transparent brewing.
Today there are four Bosgaurus locations across Ho Chi Minh City. The Opera House store is the flagship: a 300 m² stage where baristas perform and every cup is brewed live.
Single-origin Arabica from Dalat, the highland home of Vietnam's finest coffee.
Premium beans from Latin America and Africa, chosen lot by lot.
Typically light to showcase each bean's character; dark roasts for bolder espresso drinks.
V60 pour-over, cold brew, flash brew, espresso — every cup made in front of you.
Designed by NU Architecture & Design (Jonathan Ng Cheong Tin, Yumie Le), the flagship treats the room as a theatre. The bar is the central stage — baristas are performers, coffee-making a live performance. The cantilevered fly bar hangs from a single structural support anchored by a two-tonne concrete foundation, appearing to defy gravity, while varying levels let guests engage with the baristas from different perspectives. Outside, the preserved Art Deco façade is painted in neutral tones to harmonize with the Opera House palette.
