安楽亭 — “Peaceful Residence”. In 1963, Anrakutei opened in Japan with a simple promise: safe, trustworthy grilled meat. Sixty years on, the chain counts hundreds of restaurants across Tokyo and Saitama, but the formula never changed: carefully selected beef, a secret marinade refined over the decades, and the motto “No additives · Safe · Peace of mind”.
Every Anrakutei branch is anchored by the grill at the center of the table: the round mesh, the glowing coals, marbled beef sizzling right in front of the diner. Not an industrial kitchen hidden behind a counter — the fire is part of the meal, of the smoke, of the conversation.
At 59 Mac Dinh Chi, that fire comes with an unmistakable facade: red walls, the glowing 安楽亭 sign reading “SINCE 1963”. Inside, the red wall with white characters is the one loud note amid warm wood and spacious box seats. Lunch 12:00–14:30 is daylight; dinner 17:30–23:00 is glowing coals.
Anrakutei also runs Nguyen Trai (Premium), ParcMall District 8, and Phan Xich Long branches — this page covers the Mac Dinh Chi branch only.
