Com Tam Bo Kho at 114 Võ Thị Sáu, Tân Định ward, District 1 — a broken-rice shop in Saigon since 1956. Its hard-to-copy difference: broken rice served with beef stew instead of grilled pork — tender braised beef in a rich ginger-lemongrass-star-anise gravy, ladled over the rice. Grilled pork, grilled chicken, pork skin and house-made crab farci round out the board. Open 11:00–23:00 daily.
