I'll be honest: when I hear "tea-poetry house," I brace for preciousness. Somewhere my kids would be shushed and I'd be handed a thimble of something bitter. Đất Nung Cà Phê is not that place. Thank goodness.

The concept first: the menu is an actual book of poems, in three chapters — HƯƠNG MÙA HÈ, HƯƠNG NGỌT NGÀO, HƯƠNG ĐẤT. Every drink is a verse; every price is a page number. The owner's own illustrated pages (I saw the July 2025 one) have hand-drawn smiling stars, watermelons, apples. My daughter would have loved it; she loves anything that treats her like a reader, not a nuisance.

The "đất nung" — fired clay — is everywhere: rustic handmade mugs, rough to the touch, snacks on the counter. No polished perfection here, and that's the point. The mugs feel like they were made by hands, because they were. Floor-level tables, a reading corner with a sign that basically says sit long, read slow ("ngồi lâu, đọc chậm").

In seventeen flights with toddlers I've learned to spot the difference between "family-friendly" as marketing and as fact. This place is the fact kind: room to sprawl, nothing precious to break, and staff who don't flinch.

Real talk for parents: it's an alley spot in Diên Hồng, Q10 — stroller-friendly only if you park it, the floor seating is actually easier with small kids than chairs (nothing to fall off), and the clay mugs are sturdy, not dainty. The reading corner kept my older one occupied for a full hour. A full hour. Parents know what that means.

The drinks lean tea and poetry over caffeine bombs, which suits an afternoon wind-down. Prices are written plainly, no games. 4.6 stars from 154 reviews, and I'd believe every one of them was written by someone who stayed longer than planned.

Good to know

334/7 Đ. Lý Thường Kiệt, Diên Hồng, Q10. Open 8:00–22:30 daily. Floor seating — great with kids, go in the afternoon for the reading corner.

Come for the poetry, stay because nobody's rushing you. The rare concept café that works better with children than without.
