Let me be honest the way the Instagram posts aren't: I came to Cherry Pet Coffee because my kids saw the inflatable dog mascot on the pavement outside and staged a full sit-in protest until we went in. 212 Nguyễn Tri Phương, District 10. Sometimes the children choose the itinerary, and sometimes they're right.

The concept is simple and brilliant: you don't pick a table, you pick a floor. Three storeys. Dogs downstairs, cats upstairs, spa and pet hotel above that. My six-year-old went straight for the dogs. My nine-year-old claimed the cats. I got the coffee, which — I'll be straight with you — is fine. <Quote>

You're not here for the coffee. You're here because your child is currently being used as a pillow by a golden retriever and has never been happier.

The details are what make it work. A wall of 18 framed staff-dog portraits, each labeled with name and breed — the dogs aren't props, they're employees, and the place treats them that way. I stood in front of that wall longer than I expected, reading every name. There's something deeply reassuring about a business that introduces its animals properly. The glass-walled spa where you can watch grooming happen. The pet hotel upstairs for actual boarding. This is a real animal-care operation with a café attached, not a café with animals as decor, and the distinction matters enormously when you're deciding whether to bring small children.

At night the red signboard glows and the whole building warms up — the night-light under the sign gives the facade a cozy, lantern-like feel that the daytime photos don't capture. If your kids are early risers, morning is calmer and the animals are friskier. If they're night owls like mine, the evening light makes the dog floor feel like a festival.

Practical parent notes, because that's my job. Hours are 8:00–22:00 daily, generous. The dog floor is loud — joyful loud, but loud; if your toddler is noise-sensitive, head straight upstairs to the cats, which is calmer by an order of magnitude. The stairs between floors are manageable with kids but not with strollers; plan accordingly. Hygiene is visibly taken seriously — hand-washing stations, staff supervising animal interactions, which is more than I can say for some pet cafés I've reviewed.

The meltdown report: zero. The magic report: my daughter still talks about the cat that fell asleep on her lap. The bill: reasonable for three people and two hours of entertainment that required zero screens.

Is it a serious coffee destination? No. Is it the best two hours you'll spend with animal-obsessed kids in District 10? Without question. Sometimes the children are right — and <Quote>

sometimes the inflatable dog on the pavement is the most honest advertising in the city.

</Quote> Go. The golden retriever is waiting. And read the staff-dog wall before you leave — all eighteen portraits, all eighteen names. It's the best thing on any wall in District 10.
