Wiselands began with a simple idea: Saigon needed a place to drink good coffee and read good books without spending a dong. So the community library was born — more than 3,000 titles, free for anyone who walks in.
The space spans nearly 1,000 m² down alley 216 Điện Biên Phủ: pebble paths around the old tree tied with red ribbons, air-conditioned reading rooms on floors 1–2, a balcony over the street, and a food court by the main gate serving phở and bún from 7:00 to 21:00 daily.
By day, the two-storey library hall fills with natural light: long wooden tables for big groups, outlets at every table, a balcony over the street. At night the warm lamps come on and the garden becomes the night owls' open-air reading room.
