In Isaan (northeastern Thailand), “zaap” is the word for food that's boldly delicious — hot and fragrant, sour and addictive. The name Somtam ZAAP says it plainly: Isaan-style pounded papaya salad, genuinely hot, genuinely sour, no holding back.

The room is wood and warm light: plain wooden tables and chairs, an open bar looking into the kitchen, green walls and hanging lamps like a night-market corner. Tables come set with bowls, chopsticks and chili dipping sauces — sit down and eat like you're at the market.

The ZAAP way is sharing: a mortar-pounded papaya salad in the middle, steaming Tom Yum, charcoal-grilled chicken, Pad Thai and sticky rice around it — the whole table digging in together. Open daily 10AM–10PM.
