S'mores Saigon - Cao Thắng — the journey into alley 2/12

The journeyinto the alley
Leave the busy street, slip down a small alley — and suddenly, a generous house opens up: “An alley in the house, a house in the alley!”
Walking from street to house
Each stop is a different space — the café has two floors, each split into distinct seating zones.

The alley mouth
A brick pillar marked 2/12, a green gate swung open. From the noisy street, just a few steps to another world.
Tip: the café is right at the alley entrance — don't walk too far in.

The tropical garden
Wooden deck, potted plants everywhere, glass doors etched “SINCE 2020”. Sunny by day — the outdoor seats are loveliest in the early morning.

The open bar
Baristas brew vợt coffee through hand cloth drippers right before your eyes — coffee greets you at the door. Beside it: a vintage Fender speaker and the pastry case.
Order a Vợt Sữa (65k) before you walk on.

The alley indoors
Narrow plant-shaded lanes cut through the rooms: unpainted cement walls, glass brick, corrugated iron, iron grilles — Subsidy-Period materials kept as they were.

The mezzanine
Iron railings, trailing hanging plants, and the words on the wall: “WHAT YOU SEEK IS SEEKING YOU”.
What to drink along the way
Milky / Creamy Vợt
Brewed through hand cloth drippers at the open bar — the soul of the shop.
Longan Cocoa Freeze
Longan Cocoa Freeze — the shop's most Google-named drink.
Saigon Kombucha
House-fermented tea — ginger, apricot and very berry too.
The in-shop price board
Prices from the menu board at the shop, photographed December 2025. Some drinks come in S / M / L.
