our story

The Mille Mille Ben Thanh story — a patisserie in an old house at 35 Phan Chu Trinh

A small old house under a tiled roof — and a glowing pastry case at the end of the room.

Mille Mille Ben Thanh opened on 18.09.2026 at 35 Phan Chu Trinh, right by the West gate of Ben Thanh Market — the viennoiserie & patisserie brand's new branch after the Tran Quoc Thao flagship closed. No longer a two-floor glass pastry museum: this is a narrow old shophouse, a single floor, with a modest footprint and a minimal vibe.

Through the glass door, two rows of dark wooden pillars frame the narrow room. A long communal wood table in the middle invites lingering; at the far end, the glowing glass pastry case with the espresso machine behind it — where salted egg croissants, durian croissants and canelés come out of the oven daily. White plaster walls, black brick floor, wooden-framed sconces glowing amber: a patisserie open in daytime only, closed at 5 in the afternoon.

The pastry menu keeps the brand's standard — from the 85k salted egg croissant to the 105k Valrhona caramel tart, 38k macarons each. Drinks at the new branch have no published price list yet: ask at the counter, and try the brand's signature salted coffee.
