A hundred dishes,one gold seal
On Le Quy Don, behind a gold-lettered facade and red lanterns, Mandarin serves the Cantonese canon: roast meats, dim sum, noodles — more than a hundred dishes, in a room of cranes and lantern light.

Roast, wok & steam
Three crafts carry the house: the roast line, the wok, and the dim sum steamer. Described, never priced — the house publishes no priced menu on its official channels.

Roast duck
Crisp-skinned roast duck carved tableside-style, glossy and lacquered — the Cantonese roast the house is judged by.

Chili crab
Whole crab wok-tossed in chili and garlic until the shell turns sunset-orange — messy, loud, worth it.

Yangzhou fried rice
Smoky wok-tossed rice with egg, shrimp and char siu — the quiet test of any Cantonese kitchen, passed here.
Cranes on the wall, gold on the door
Ink-black ceilings, crane murals, cube lanterns lettered with welcome — Mandarin is built like a banquet hall and lit like a lantern festival. Marble tables, velvet chairs, the smell of roast duck in the air.
