Story

A drinking den since 2011

Owner Sakai's Ten is one of Japan Town's original izakayas — and still packed nightly.

Ten opened in 2011 on Thai Van Lung, before Japan Town looked like today. The formula hasn't changed in over a decade: red lanterns, noren curtains, charcoal skewers and cold beer.

The Ten signboard at night

Hand-written boards on the wall, prices from 35,000đ — sashimi, skewers, fried bites, noodles. Weekend queues out the door are a familiar sight.

The "OPEN EVERYDAY TILL 3AM" sign

Ten's biggest difference is its hours: open till 3 AM (Mondays till 1 AM). When the whole area has gone dark, Ten is still lit — where Japan Town ends its night.
