A living relic, archive walls, a weapons bunker — a museum where you can drink coffee.
our story
A house from 1946 — a café and a witness to Saigon's history.

In 1946, Mr. Đỗ Miễn and Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Sự built a three-room wooden house in Ban Co and opened a café. The name — “the Đỗ family's house” — still hangs on the green signboard today.
From 1964 to 1968, the house became a secret Saigon Commandos base: a courier station, a weapons bunker hidden under the floor tiles, an escape route behind the wardrobe. Today the bunker and wardrobe can still be viewed — please keep quiet when visiting.
The dish that made its name: Cơm tấm Đại Hàn — broken rice with house-made kimchi. In the 1960s, Korean soldiers stopping by missed the taste of home and passed their kimchi recipe to the owners. To this day, Korean veterans return for the plate they remember.
