Smoke & fire
The doors open at 15:30, but Bò Nướng Khói truly starts when the sky goes dark.
Bò Nướng Khói is Nhieu Loc’s night grill: the yellow sign lights up at dusk, the charcoal glows red, smoke curls over the sidewalk. People come in crews — birthdays, class reunions, weekend matches. The house writes: “Birthdays need no ceremony. Instead of blowing candles, blow on the charcoal fire.”
And every table waits for the same moment: the 1-metre tray arrives — juicy beef slabs, sizzling, fat glistening, smelling of fire — “cầm lòng sao nổi”, who could resist. The house says: ten people, one metre-long tray — is it enough? It’s enough.
Bò Nướng Khói is a 3-branch chain — this page covers the Do Thi Loi (District 3) branch. Hotpot is the secondary pillar: after the grill, a steaming US-beef / squid hotpot closes the meal. And the name says it all: “khói” — smoke — the place smoke rises every night.
