The story

The Hao Hoa morning

Hao Hoa starts every day at 6am in the 177/1 Lý Tự Trọng alley: cloth stretched over the steamer, thin rice batter, rolls steamed and rolled hot plate by plate for diners seated by the stove. No glossy price board, no big sign — just steam, rice-batter aroma, and white plates dotted with fried shallots. Sold out by late morning, usually before 11:30.
