Ayutthaya is Thailand's old capital — a canal city, where vendors rowed boats along the canals and ladled bowls of noodles to customers on the bank. Boat noodles were born on those boats. The house's name recalls that very place.

The house is small, down the alley: one room, a few tables, a kitchen ladling bowl by bowl from 9AM. Over the door, a pediment carved with a divine bird — Ayutthaya's mark right at the entrance. Guests don't come looking for a showy restaurant — they come for a piping-hot bowl of boat noodles, then head on.

Every day the house opens at 9AM and closes at 10PM. Neighbours drop by for lunch, visitors from across town for dinner — and alley 32/63 always has people coming and going.
